Monday the 19th July 2021 has arrived and some restrictions have been lifted! Shenley Leisure Centre appreciate that some people are welcoming this news with open arms whilst others are still apprehensive on the relaxation of the restrictions. We have received guidance from the government and Sport England which we are following closely. Please see the detailed changes below:

Gym

All tape has been removed and all equipment is available to use. Although we no longer have number restriction, we will let you know if there is more than 6 people in the gym so that you can make an informed decision.

Classes

Class capacity has increased, we would ask all Shenley leisure centre users to pre book their class prior to turning up.
We would still encourage you to bring your own mats and any other equipment you wish to use although as always, we can provide these also.

Squash

Booking restrictions for households or bubbles only, have been lifted so you can now play squash with whoever you like.

Bar and Other Facilities

Table service has been stopped. You can now order your drinks at the bar.
Any activities that limited numbers to below 6 such as basketball can now play at full capacity. All other facilities where bubbles or household restrictions were in place will also be removed.

We care about the health and safety of our members and team therefore the extra cleaning of equipment and areas will continue, and the hand sanitising stations are staying put. We will also be asking that where possible you try and socially distance. Track and trace will still be available to use.

The wearing of facemasks is an individual choice however we would encourage it while walking through the centre for added safety.

Anyone experiencing Covid like symptoms should avoid attending the centre until clear.

The whole team at Shenley would like to thank our members for their continued support throughout.
